So about that otter...

So I was thinking anyone who stumbled across this blog is probably going to wonder "Why the name?", so I though this ought to be the first thing I address. Well, while creating this blog, I was asked to name it, and I thought it was probably fairly important that it was a good one - catchy, informative, perhaps with a pun or a play on words. However, being inexpressibly uncreative, I spent a good 50 minutes trying to think of a name and failing. I was in the process of trying to make a Harry Potter related pun, with the aid of rhymezone.com, a most fabulous and helpful rhyming dictionary I used when we had to write a sonnet in the style of Keats for Lit (but thats another story). Anyway, so I typed in "Potter" and this is what came out:

I thought this was pretty damn funny. You may not, but since I'm the one writing this, I get to choose the name. It might change at some point if I think of something witty and exciting. But not likely.

You know you love me,

1984 - fail.

So I'm supposed to be writing an essay for English right now, but I was in the process of selecting a topic from the range the wonderful English department at my school has provided, when I became distracted by topic number 7:

7. “ Nearly everyone was ugly”
Was the regime of Big Brother bound to fail?

Now, maybe I'm just not very good at English, but I have serious trouble connecting this quote with this topic. The English Department are all on crack.

Good luck in VCE, class of 2010! With teaching like this, everyone's going to be getting 50s fo-sho.

OK, now I actually have to write the essay (clearly, I have chosen an alternative topic)
